We maintain communication with our graduates with a view to contribute to their personal development, provide assistance in their employment processes, and make improvements in our processes based on their feedback.

Career Counseling

The graduates who would like to take advantage of our career counseling services first submit their requests to our Career Development Center, and can then benefit from the career counseling services through face-to-face, or facetime interviews via platforms such as Skype and Zoom, conducted by the officials in charge of our Career Development Center every weekday.

Within the scope of Career Counseling services, we mainly provide with regards to the following matters:

  • curriculum vitae (CV)/resume creation and preparation,
  • preparation for a job interview,
  • job interview techniques,
  • methods of communication to consider during a job interview, and
  • job search methods

Our graduates can submit their requests to take advantage of our career counseling services through 3 different communication channels by:

  • sending an email to the e-mail address of our Career Development Center, 
  • sending a message to the social media accounts of our Career Development Center, or
  • by dialling the University’s telephone number and then the extension of the Career Development Center,

Scholarship offers are at the discretion of the Scholarship Committee, and the committee reserves the right to approve or deny a student for any reason. Scholarships may be rescinded if terms are not met, and the student will be responsible for full tuition. Awards are disbursed in the Student Management System as a credit toward your tuition.

Medical Field Work Experience Scholarship Criteria

 
  1. Students must be entering Leaders Mind College University school of medicine in the first year of basic science (MD1-MD3).
  2. Student must have hands-on work experience in the medical field (including, but not limited to; Nurses, Physician Assistants, Emergency Medical Technicians, etc.)
  3. Students must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Student must be a United States or Canadian citizen

Please note: All prospective students must be accepted prior to applying for a Scholarship.

Women in STEM Scholarship Criteria

 
  1. Student must be entering Leaders Mind College school of medicine in the first year of basic science (MD1-MD3).
  2. Student must be a woman who has earned an undergraduate degree in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
  3. Student must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  4. Student must be a United States or Canadian citizen.

Refunds are only given for tuition, and only when students officially withdraw from the Basic Science or Pre-Medical Programs of XUSOM. Refunds are not given for Leaves of Absence. Refunds are not given for dismissal. Refunds are not given for any Clinical Rotations. Before any refund can be processed, a withdrawal form must be completed and submitted to the Registrar’s Office in New York for Pre-Med and Basic Science students.

Official withdrawal prior to the first day of registration: full refund of tuition only. *

Official withdrawal after the start of registration and prior to the withdrawal deadline: 50% of tuition only refunded. **The withdrawal deadline date is posted on the school calendar on www.xusom.com. All withdrawals must be submitted by 4 PM Local Aruba Time on the withdrawal deadline date in order to be eligible for refund.

International Students: International students from outside of North America will not be eligible for tuition refund regardless if they are a new student or whether or not they register or attend a class or classes.

**The semester seat deposit of $1,000 USD and all other fees are excluded from this refund.

**MD6 Semester is non-refundable
